Stephanie Arthur, L.Ac. | Acupuncture

Stephanie Arthur, L.Ac. | Acupuncture

Stephanie Arthur, LAc. received her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2013. She is licensed by the Oregon Medical Board and Nationally Board Certified by the NCCAOM to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine, as well as advise clients through dietary, nutritional and lifestyle guidance. Currently, she is pursuing advanced studies in orthopedic and sports medicine acupuncture, working towards certification through the AcuSport Education Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification (SMAC) program.

Stephanie knew at a young age that she wanted to work in a healing profession. She was influenced to study medicine through her mother, a registered nurse, and her paternal grandmother, who wanted to become a doctor but was unable to attend college. Her grandmother studied medical texts for fun, and was enthusiastic about nutrition, supplements, and the natural treatments of disease. Stephanie’s mother attended nursing school while Stephanie was in junior high. Her mother would sometimes get Stephanie involved with helping her study for exams, discussing health topics with her, and even inviting Stephanie to her Anatomy and Physiology lab. Both of these women played a huge role in influencing Stephanie’s love for medicine and service.
In her early twenties Stephanie felt called to study the healing arts and discovered a strong affinity for the study of Traditional Chinese medicine. She has experienced the effectiveness of Chinese medicine firsthand and uses it to manage her own health and the health of her loved ones. She has deep admiration and respect for this beautiful, gentle, yet strongly effective ancient medicine system.

Stephanie is passionate about helping clients reach their health goals and improve their quality of life. She uses acupuncture, myofascial release techniques, herbal medicine, nutrition, exercise and stretching to successfully aid clients with acute and chronic pain conditions, headaches, women’s health issues, autoimmune and digestive disorders, stress, anxiety, PTSD, and a wide array of internal medicine conditions. She specializes in treating all kinds of pain conditions related to acute injuries, chronic degenerative pain conditions, motor vehicle accidents, and workman’s comp cases. She particularly loves to treat radiculopathy, low back pain, stress, and PTSD.

In the practice of Chinese Medicine, each condition can have many possible patterns as the root cause. Stephanie takes time to look at the individual as a whole in order to pinpoint the unique pattern(s) involved. She uses an individualized and holistic approach to determine the root cause of these patterns by not only taking symptoms into consideration, but also how these symptoms may relate to the overall functioning of the organs, a person’s diet, emotions, lifestyle management, exercise habits, posture imbalances, physical constitution, and family genetics. She believes in treating the individual as a whole person, versus a group of symptoms.

When Stephanie isn’t practicing Chinese Medicine, she enjoys spending her free time with family, hiking, going to the coast, gardening, practicing yoga, listening to music, cooking healthy food, and traveling.

Taylor | Receptionist

Taylor Jaeger | Receptionist

Taylor was born and raised in Sherwood, OR where she spent many years participating in competitive cheerleading and softball. She always dreamed of working in the medical field and being able to help others. After graduating from Sherwood High School, Taylor attended Portland Community College where she received her Associate in Science. Shortly after earning her degree, she began her career in the health field by obtaining her first caregiving job working in a group home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She loved being able to provide care, teach new life skills, manage medical needs, and build friendships with the individuals she worked with.

In 2021, after serving seven and a half years as a caregiver, she decided it was time to expand her career and move in a different direction. She wanted a change, but she still wanted to continue working in the medical field. She was excited to start with our front office position because it fit so well with the change in direction she was looking for in her career path. It allowed her to stay in a medical-based profession, and it allowed her to continue to do what she really loves, help people.

Taylor has been our lead receptionist for the last year and a half. She has established herself as the face of our front office and creates a very warm and friendly experience for all our new and returning patients. So far, her favorite part of her job is being able to work closely with our patients and providing compassion to their services and experience with us. She also enjoys developing her skills and assisting in the ins, outs, and behind the scenes of our clinic.

In her free time Taylor enjoys being outdoors with her two Labrador Retrievers and her husband. She can typically be found in the woods off-roading in her jeep, riding dirt bikes, hiking, and camping. She also enjoys baking, watching Major League Baseball (GO RED SOX!) and playing games on her Nintendo Switch.
